Easy sautéd mushrooms over linguine

This looks really simple, in fact it looks like nothing special but it is packed with flavour — the savoury kind!

It was one of those days, so so busy that by the time I was even thinking about making dinner, we were both about to fall asleep. It had to be no fuss and quick. Thankfully, that doesn’t mean it can’t be tasty (^_^)

To be completely honest though, I was not thinking about taste, I just wanted something to eat, and fast!  ha ha ha! There were no leftovers to work with either. Whenever I want something quick, pasta tends to be default. I try to always have either home made pesto or my homemade tomato paste (which works excellent as a sauce as well, even for chips instead of ketchup) in the fridge. This time I had the tomato paste.   

So the ingredients for this are very few:
A bit of butter
2 cloves of garlic, sliced thin
1 pack button mushrooms
Dhania
Salt to taste
Linguine
Homemade tomato paste

Cook the linguine as instructions say on the packaging.

wash and dry the mushrooms, pat them dry then cut them in half

sautée the garlic in the butter for about a minute or until it softens, keep the heat low, do not allow it to burn

add the mushrooms, stir and cook for about 3 minutes, add salt to taste
Once the linguine is cooked,  drain and coat it with some of the homemade tomato paste, not too much, just enough

when the mushrooms are ready toss in some chopped dania, stir, and it's ready to serve
