After the success of my previous cake adventure, my husband has proposed a new challenge. He would like me to try a “rum raisin” version of one of the cakes. Fruit cake is one of his favourites, I think he’s working me up to it gently.

drunken raisins!

He brought home a pack of raising and a bottle of rum. I’m not really sure how this is done, in fact, I will not even google it. Sometimes it’s just fun to try stuff. I’m Just going to soak them like he suggests, in the fridge for a few days, then fold them into the batter when it’s time to bake (^_^) It may end up being an epic failure, but that’s OK with me. I’ll just enjoy the journey of discovering how it’s done.
