My friend Nahuja came over to help me. She’s such a bright person, always full of energy. She’s also an artist, you can have a look at some of her work here. She’ll be part of an exhibition soon, I’m very excited for her.
She also loves chocolate cake! Cooking with friends is so much fun! She did all the mixing, I took pictures and talked a lot (^_^)
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
½ cup liquid oil
1½ cup sugar
1 cup sour milk
3 eggs
½ cup cocoa powder
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup hot water
First, mix the oil, sugar and cocoa
It’s now ready to bake. Pre heat the oven to 180°C. Pour the batter into a greased/buttered pan.
Bake for 30-40 min.
It is a lovely moist cake.

that was fun! we should do it again! (^_^)
I made this cake! DELICIOUS!!
Since I’ve got a home of 8 cake-lovers, I doubled the quantities but used less sugar (2 cups rather than 3) and eggs (5 instead of 6 – I thought it might taste eggy…). I used 2 cake tins. 1 tin actually overflowed – should have seen me frantic at the oven! I guess the tins were too small. LOL
One cake was gone in seconds.
But all in all great recipe! Thanks Pendo la Mama!
