With my husband, when it comes to baked desserts, the only experiment he wants to see me do is add raisins! I have no idea what is with that man and raisins. I need to sit him down and get the back story out of him.
So the recipe for this is the same as the Oatmeal raisin cookies. I just switched the 3/4 cup of raisins for 1/2 cup of dries cherries.
I found the dries cherries in Zucchini (that fancy looking grocery store). It’s not as expensive as it looks I discovered. Their prices are very comparable to the grocery markets. Only problem is there’s not much selection. If their batch of veggies is bad today your are stuck with it! At the market, if your usual veggie guy doesn’t have anything fresh today you can move on to the next guy. Choice is a good thing (^_^)
On the other hand they have some other good stuff you may not find in the market. Like the dries cherries. They seem expensive at first but then after considering the amount I realised I would not need much anyway. Just 100g. I’ve made breakfast twice, and now cookies. Not bad for 100g. This is the last of it though.
