Beef in rosemary and garlic, mashed sweet potatoes and green beans

Shagz was fun!

I’m back in my kitchen. I tried to finish everything before I left so I had to shop quite a bit to replenish. Didn’t get a chance to go to the butcher though. Mama came to the rescue. We visited her for breakfast one morning and she gave me some beef. She saved me some from the bull they put down over the holidays (^_^)

washed, ends nipped off

I put them in hot water to blanch then fried them in some onions  

in hot water to blanch
in onion with salt and black pepper
sweet potatoes cooked, in water no salt 
mash mash mash
added three tablespoons of heavy cream, salt & black pepper to taste, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
mixed, warming up on the fire
rosemary, washed and ready to chop
chopped with the garlic
in the fire with a little oil and water

I boiled the meat first, with a little salt. Then cut it up into chunky pieces.
